How to submit request for a missing notice from USCIS
It is becoming too common for USCIS to lose, not send, or misplace important notices of clients. These notices include requests for evidence, approval notices, and even documents that do not show a purpose on the USCIS case tracker (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do). Additionally, it is becoming increasingly harder to get a copy of the document as the attorney of record and our requests are often going to be responded to.
For this purpose, we are providing instructions for clients to also ask for their duplicate notice as there is a different box to check for applicants and petitioners. Hopefully, USCIS is more responsive to direct inquiries from the persons the documents belong to.
If you are looking for a duplicate copy of a notice, please use these instructions to have the document sent directly to you. Please note, that in most circumstances, the attorney of record does not receive original notices. These notices go directly to the petitioner.
