National Interest Waiver Success - Anthony “Digit” Yigit

We are proud to announce our consular practice was able to obtain an Expedited Appointment and National Interest Exemption in Sweden for World Class Boxer, Anthony “Digit” Yigit. Anthony was approved earlier this year for an O-1A visa and is set to compete in a Premier Boxing Championship’s card in November on Showtime TV. 

The promoter of the event is Premier Boxing Championships and Yigit’s petitioner was his management team, LPMG Global in Miami, FL. Yigit’s visa appointment was cancelled weeks before he was due to fly to the United States and was in need of help in order to make the fight. 

We were able to swiftly prepare an argument that Yigit is an essential business traveler based on his upcoming world class bout on national television. After direct communication with the consulate in Stockholm, Sweden we were able to get him a visa appointment within a week and also have his passport stamped with the National Interest Exemption which will allow him to travel to the United States despide COVID-19 travel restrictions.
